Right now I am:<\/strong><\/p>\n

-first and foremost, working every day with my wonderful wife to raise our two sons<\/a> well.<\/p>\n

-working to maintain a healthy diet, regular exercise, and a healthy mind.<\/p>\n

-managing a variety of projects<\/a>.<\/p>\n

-working with colleagues and students on a variety of papers and book chapters (by my current count… lots) in various states of the writing and publication process.<\/p>\n

-supervising or co-supervising great graduate students and enthusiastic undergraduates.<\/p>\n

-teaching NRES 700<\/a> (Research in Natural Resources and Environmental Studies) and BIOL 202<\/a> (Invertebrate Zoology).<\/p>\n

-trying to find time to process tons of data and specimens.<\/p>\n

-volunteering as co-Editor-in-chief<\/a> for The Canadian Entomologist<\/a>.<\/p>\n

-volunteering as an academic editor<\/a>\u00a0and a section editor<\/a> for PeerJ<\/a><\/p>\n

-volunteering as a subject editor and Editor-in-Chief for the Journal of the Entomological Society of British Columbia<\/a>.<\/p>\n

-Chairing the Entomological Society of Canada’s Publications and Communications Committee<\/p>\n

-member of the BC Council on Admissions and Transfer<\/a> Transfer and Articulation Committee<\/a>.<\/p>\n

–UNBC Department of Ecosystem Science and Management<\/a> Undergraduate Coordinator, managing student transfer to six degree programs.<\/p>\n

-volunteering on the Science Advisory Committee<\/a> of A Rocha Canada and a member of their National Board of Directors<\/a>.<\/p>\n

-attempting to put out a blog post on this site<\/a> once in awhile. Once in a long-while lately \ud83d\ude41<\/p>\n

-reading this<\/a>, this<\/a>, and this<\/a>… and a lot of other things<\/a>.<\/p>\n
